Terms and privacy

1. Who runs this site

This site, thecaseforchristianprophecy.com, is run by Jacob Teunissen, an individual author in South Africa, writing in a personal capacity. It is not a company, a church or a registered non-profit organisation.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Thank-you payments

Where a payment option is shown on this site, a payment is a voluntary thank-you to the author for writing that is already free to read. You do not buy anything, and nothing is sent to you in return.

• Everything on this site can be read without paying. A payment unlocks nothing.
• A payment is not a purchase, a pre-order, a subscription or a membership. It does not buy a copy of the book or any future product.
• You choose the amount. Payments are once-off. Nothing repeats or is charged again.
• Payments are not tax-deductible. This is not a registered charity or public benefit organisation, and no section 18A receipt can be issued.
• Payments are processed by Payfast and are in South African rand. Card details are entered on Payfast’s secure page, never on this site, and are never seen by the author. Payfast emails you a receipt.

3. Refunds

If you change your mind, or paid by mistake, or paid the wrong amount, ask for a refund within 14 days of paying and you will get it, without needing to give a reason.

• To ask, use the contact form and give the date, the amount, and the name or email on the payment.
• Refunds are made through Payfast, back to the card or account you paid from. They are usually started within 5 working days of your request. Your bank decides how long it takes to reach you.
• You get the full amount back. No fee is deducted from your refund.
• After 14 days a refund is not guaranteed, but ask anyway. Each request will be looked at.

4. Cancellation

No order or subscription is ever created, so there is nothing to cancel. Payments are once-off, and nothing is charged again later.

If you leave the Payfast page before finishing, no payment is taken. If a payment has already gone through and you want it reversed, see Refunds.

5. Delivery

Nothing is delivered, because nothing is sold. No goods are posted and no service is provided. Payfast sends a receipt by email straight after payment, and that is the only thing you receive.

6. Privacy

This site collects as little as possible. It handles personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, known as POPIA.

• Reading the site: there are no accounts, no forms of its own and no tracking or analytics. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes basic technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attack. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Paying: Payfast collects your payment details and email address so that it can process the payment and send you a receipt. The author sees your name, email address, the amount and the date in the Payfast account, and uses them only to keep a record of the payment, to answer you, and to process a refund. • Subscribing: the sign-up box on the home page belongs to Substack. If you subscribe, Substack holds your email address under its own privacy policy, and you can unsubscribe from any email it sends.
• Contacting: if you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are emailed to the author and kept only to reply to you. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from robots. It looks at technical signals from your browser for that one purpose and is not used for advertising. See Turnstile’s privacy addendum.

Your information is never sold, rented or shared for marketing. It is kept only as long as needed for the purpose above, or as long as the law requires for financial records.

You may ask what information is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, through the contact form. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator.

7. Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The Substack sign-up box, the Turnstile check on the contact form and the Payfast payment page are run by those companies, and they may use their own cookies, under their own policies linked above.

8. Using what is on this site

The text, the studies and the book extracts on this site are © Jacob Teunissen, unless they belong to someone else and are marked as such. Scripture is quoted from the King James Version.

You are welcome to read, share links to, and quote short passages from this site, with credit and a link back. Please do not republish whole pages or sell the material without written permission.

Links to other websites are given for your convenience. Those sites are not controlled by the author, who is not responsible for them.

9. What this site is not

The material here sets out an argument for readers to weigh for themselves. It is not professional, legal, financial, medical or other advice. It is offered as it is, and while care has been taken to get it right, mistakes are possible. As far as the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site.

10. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in them takes away any right you have under South African consumer law.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. A payment is covered by the terms as they stood on the day you paid.
